Competitor analysis: what your competition does better online
Most businesses know their competitors by name. Few know which search terms those competitors are found for, how many reviews they gain each month, and which adverts they have been running unchanged for months. That last one is where what works is written down.
What gets examined
- Visibility: which terms the others appear for and which ones you do not
- Reviews: number, average, monthly growth, how they reply
- Website: load time, mobile usability, how easily someone makes contact
- Advertising: which adverts run permanently, and permanent usually means profitable
- How prices are shown: with figures, as from-prices, or not at all
What you get
Not a forty-page PDF. A table with you and three competitors side by side, one page with the most striking gaps, and a list sorted by effort: what is doable this week, what needs a quarter. Plus a video call in which we go through why each point sits where it does.
The most common finding is unspectacular: the strongest competitor is not doing anything especially clever. They have been doing three things consistently for years.
What you end up with
- Comparison table: you and three competitors
- The gaps, sorted by effort
- A video call to go through it
